I’m not sure if we are trying to do the same thing but this is my objective,

Please note, my company website is http://www.secondary.com... and I have 16 users with this email address user < @> secondary.com

I now have set up a primary domain and a sub domain (secondary.com).

http://www.primary.com is set up as a premium google apps
    http://www.secondary.com is a sub-domain of primary.com.

    When I email admin < @> primary.com it works.
    When I email admin < @> secondary.com, it automatically forwards to admin< @>primary.com.

    Just as expected..

Now, how do I set up additional email accounts for the secondary.com domain. My secondary.com is my company’s website. Primary.com is set up for google apps premier.

My objectives is that I have 4 users I want on Premiere using IMAP and the rest using standard google apps with POP or IMAP or Gmail interface.

    IE:
user1< @>primary.com but, handing out the email user1< @>secondary.com to clients
user2< @>primary.com but, handing out the email user2< @>secondary.com to clients
user3< @>primary.com but, handing out the email user3< @>secondary.com to clients
user4< @>primary.com but, handing out the email user4< @>secondary.com to clients

    user5< @>secondary.com
    user6< @>secondary.com
    user7< @>secondary.com
    user8< @>secondary.com
    user9< @>secondary.com
    user10< @>secondary.com
    user11< @>secondary.com
    etc…

    Thanks
    Mark

@Mark, I don’t think you can do what you want. If I understand correctly, you want the secondary domain email split between Google apps premier and Google apps standard which is the part that can’t be done. As far as I know an entire domain has to go to one GApps account. I assume your doing this to save money but provide better reliability to critical users so any sort of forwarding would defeat that goal.

If you were able to do them all as premier or standard you could do what you want. I don’t actually use the primary domain on one of my GApps account and just hand out the secondary. There are valid email addresses for both domains and the users can access them through either domain but the users only know about the secondary domain.

    Thanks,
    Ray
