I spent some time this weekend looking into ways to spend less time maintaining my WordPress installs. WordPress has had the ability to automatically update itself but it doesn’t work for me. Fixing Plugin Auto-Update in WordPress 2.7.1
As much as I like screwing around with software, I spent some time this weekend looking into ways to spend less time maintaining my WordPress installs. WordPress has had the ability to automatically update plugins for awhile but it’s never worked for me. Whenever I tried to do a plug-in update I’d get prompted to enter a ftp account and password. Bad Monster
While there are companies I won’t do business with due to poor experiences with them, there are very few companies I refuse to due business with for reasons that have nothing to do with their product. Monster cable is one of them. For awhile I didn’t buy their products simply due to their price and lack of value. But theses days I wouldn’t buy their stuff even if there were no other options. Windows Home Server Update
I figure it’s a good time to post an update about my 12TB Windows Home Server since there’s been a couple of changes and I looked at the power usage over a couple of weeks. Disk Gone Bad I started having problems with one of the drives. One of the 1TB Western Digital Green drives started acting flakey.
