Welcome to the Windows Home Server section of The OS Quest. If you thought you were visiting the Windows Home Server Quest (WHSQuest.com) my apologies for the redirection. I’ve closed down that site and integrated it’s content here.

My current Windows Home Server is a home built server. See the links below for information about the build. The total disk space has been expanded to 15TB but otherwise it’s the same as described in these articles.

I checked the Windows Home Server power consumption when it was still a 12TB server and figured it costs $215/yr to run the server. It sounds better at $4.12/wk.
